Meet the Founder
Kendra started her career at a small design agency in 2009, where she first saw how the industry could fail the people it was supposed to serve. From there she spent years working across visual design, UX, UI, and development in both agency and in-house environments at increasing scale. That range is what shapes how Very Swell works: the design is grounded in systems thinking, and the strategy is grounded in how real businesses grow.
She started Very Swell because she kept seeing founders spend real money on design that didn’t solve the right problem, and because she believed a studio could operate differently: transparently, fairly, and without treating good creative work as something only well-funded companies can access. She believes good design should be honest, and honest design should be accessible. Turns out, that’s pretty swell.
